Release: Protektor [*] Windows Manual - Version 9.3

I am pleased to announce the official release of the new Protektor [*] Manual for Windows.
This release has been given the number 9.3.

As in the previous releases, 9.3 provides significant improvements and hopes to make things even more user friendly then before.

Updates:

• GPG4Win has been updated to version 1.1.4


• Pidgin has been updated to version 2.5.5


• Gizmo has been updated to version 4.0.5.398


• Zfone has been updated to the latest release dating February 8, 2009


• After feedback from users, numerous enhancements have been made to make the manual more userfriendly

On request there will be versions available for Linux and Mac OS X.

Update: Protektor [*] Windows Manual - Version 9.2

One of the main goals of the manuals is to make them
easy to use.

Having to download the entire manual and skip through them for the chapters you want to use might not be the most user-friendly there is.

So today I am glad to announce that the different sections of the manual are now available in separate pdf documents.

Let's hope this only enhances the ease of use and the proliferation of the use.

Release: Protektor [*] Windows Manual - Version 9.2

I am pleased to announce the official release of the new Protektor [*] Manual for Windows.
This release has been given the number 9.2.

As in the previous releases, 9.2 provides significant improvements and hopes to make things even more user friendly then before.

Not only are the latest versions of both software as operating systems supported, on request there will soon be versions available for Linux (Ubuntu based) and Mac OS X.

GPG4Win training.

Yesterday a baptism by fire for the new manuals with a small training given about the GPG4Win tools.

So far so good...

Manual name change.

Having a manual named after my nickname and email address did not seem to be covering the content, therefore I decided to change the name of the project.

The update is scheduled for the end of January 2009 and will be branded as:

Protektor [*] (XXX) Manual. Version 9.2

*Replace the (XXX) with Win for Windows (tm), Lnx for Linux and OSX for Apple*

The reason for jumping from version 2 to 9.2 was inspired by some software releases.

Since the Protektor [*] Manual follows different software packages and the updates of the Manual do not depend on individual software releases the chosen versioning numbers will help everybody to avoid confusion about what version is being used.
